In April 2011, mother and daughter founded the animal rescue community. They wanted to create an animal shelter, where any animal, whether a cat or a dog, a rabbit or a horse, could always receive the necessary help. For this, in the same month, they had registered a mortgage on the house of Revitsi family- the future «Ķepu-Ķepā» shelter.
In May of 2011, 25 dogs, 20 cats and 6 members of the community moved to a new place. The first year was incredibly difficult – in May 2012 three people left the community. Today «Ķepu-Ķepā» continues to work by virtue of the indomitable will of its founders and the help of volunteers, family members and friends.
On the camera you can see the dog walking area (10×12 meters) every day dogs are let to play there. Here dogs get familiar with each other and spend time together. Here shelter visitors can play with dogs as well.
